Bacheldre Watermill Stoneground Strong White Flour

Wheat is a type of grass grown all over the world for its highly nutritious and useful grains. Bacheldre Watermill does not bleach its flours, but uses sieves to gently remove bran and brown flour form the milled flour to leave a creamy white strong white flour ideal for breads and pizza bases.

Bacheldre Watermill is a member of the Traditional Corn Millers Guild – a group of artisan millers who use traditional methods to produce high quality flour.

The historic Bacheldre Watermill was first recorded in 1575 as part of an Elizabeth estate, the mill was rebuilt in 1575.

Today the Scott family maintain the mill with its watermill and French Burr millstones.

Bacheldre Watermill uses a blend of old and new equipment to produce the finest flour possible.

Time is taken to source the best grains possible which are then slowly and gently stoneground in order to produce flours with all the goodness of the wheat germ.

This slow milled process only slightly warms the flour leaving all the natural flavours in tact.
